Our Story: A Legacy Built by Brotherhood
We lost our brother, Jace, in a tragic auto accident on an ice-covered road and the world became a lot quieter, and a lot less bright without him. Anyone who knew Jace knew that he wasn’t one to sit still. He was a guy who loved the hum of a powerful engine, the satisfaction of a hard day’s work, and the feeling of actually building something with his own two hands. He had a passion for the skilled trades and heavy equipment - industries where grit, determination, and heart matter more than a desk or a diploma.
To honor his life, his passion, and the permanent mark he left on our hearts, we - his brothers, Evan and Conner - have established the Jace Marlon Norton Memorial Fund.
Losing a brother leaves a hole that can never be filled. But we refuse to let Jace's story end here. Through this memorial fund, Jace will continue to do what he always did: lend a helping hand, support a friend, and help build a stronger community.
Carrying on the Torch
This memorial fund is designed to support young men and women who share Jace’s drive and passion for honest, hard work. We want to back the kids who are ready to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty, and build their futures from the ground up.
Award Eligibility:
• A Shiawassee County Root: Must be a graduating high school senior from Owosso High School, the city Jace called home.
• Trades: Dedicated to pursuing a career in heavy equipment operation or the skilled trades (welding, automotive, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and more).
• The Jace Spirit: We aren’t looking for the perfect GPA. We are looking for students who demonstrate a fierce work ethic, a genuine passion for their trade, and a good heart - the very qualities that defined Jace.
Help Us Honor Our Brother
We want to ensure that Jace’s name is spoken every single year, and that his legacy directly helps a local senior take their first big step into the trades.
We are asking our community, friends, and family to help us turn our grief into a beacon of support for the next generation.
We are grateful and honored to accept donations of any amount that helps us keep Jace’s legacy alive.
